My Wish List:

These are the material things I want, but won’t actually own for a while:

Valkyria Chronicles (PS3)

A Real Time Strategy game with a beautiful Japanese, steampunk art style and battles that take place in a third-person perspective. You command your troops, tell them where to go, and when you confront an enemy, you take control of one of your troops, adding another layer of skill to the usually boring RTS formula.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (PS3)

A truly incredible videogame that I’ve already had the pleasure of finishing. I want so badly to play it again. I can ignore the fact that it’s 80% cut-scenes and 20% gameplay.

Street Fighter IV (PS3/Xbox 360)

I’ve never been the biggest fan of fighting games, but this game’s art direction and graphical style alone has me interested. I got my ass handed to me in an arcade version of the game, but it seems like the kind of game that takes minutes to learn but years to master. Y’know, like that Sequence game.

Killzone 2 (PS3)

Supposedly incredible. I never played the first one (it was supposedly mediocre), but Killzone 2 is supposed to be to the brim with improvement and polish. Most interesting to me is its incredibly deep multiplayer mode. Me needs some online FPS action.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (Xbox 360/PS3)

I’ve played this before and I didn’t like it, but it was mostly because I didn’t understand it. After falling head-over-heels in love with Fallout 3 (which was developed by the same development team), I feel like i should give Oblivion another go. Supposedly it’s actually deeper and more immersing than Fallout 3, which is incredible, since F3 had me playing for tens of hours at a time.

Braid (Xbox 360 Arcade)

Holy shit have you seen this game? It’s absolutely beautiful. I don’t even want to describe it, so I’ll show you a few screenshots instead. It’s about love and time and reality and motivation and nostalgia and all of the beautiful things in the world. The music is gorgeous.

Bicycle

I need a crappy lookin’ but smooth ridin’ bicycle I can take to Davis to get around on. I refuse to pay more than $100.

Netbook

These things are tiny and it seems like one would be perfect for shoving in my backpack and taking with me to class for taking notes/reading the news/distracting myself. My current laptop doesn’t work too well as a laptop (I currently use it as a super-slim desktop computer, hooking it up to my monitor), so I’d like some mobility. They’re also pretty cheap… only like $300.

That’s pretty much it.
